No matter how hard he tries, Larry Smalbut can't help cheating on his girlfriend. Unfortunately this behaviour comes back to - quite literally - bite him in the ass after an encounter with a transvestite. A gypsy fortune teller informs him that he has been bitten by the Queerwolf, and is now destined to become one himself. Sure enough, when the full moon rises Larry undergoes a bizarre transformation matched with some urges that he never knew he had ...
There is some debate about whether this movie, in portraying offensive stereotypes about transvestites and homosexuals, is actually offensive itself. Personally I did find it somewhat offensive, but only in the rather tiresome manner of a toddler standing on a chair and screaming "poop" and "pee-pee" in a feeble attempt to make you laugh. Too many times the punchline of the joke is that dogs get killed in various gruesome ways or an obese woman gets electrocuted, as if these things are somehow intrinsically funny. There are enough forced and unsubtle horror movie references to rival even the "Scary Movie" franchise. And remember how laugh-out-loud hilarious the rape scene from Deliverance was? Well, lucky you! There are jokes about that too.
Whether or not this movie is actually offensive, I would suggest that if you're going to take serious issues like homophobia and violence against gay people and turn them into a farce, you should really try and do it in a way which is intelligent and actually makes a statement. This movie doesn't even attempt to do that. The bigger problem, though, is that it simply isn't funny or entertaining enough.
While the central metaphor is somewhat interesting, this movie fails on pretty much every level. I'd highly recommend watching "Wolves of Kromer" instead.
Sucky werewolf horror movie spoof. starts out with two guys that share a house bringing two girls home to fool around with. One guy finds out his chick, isn't a chick, but before that happens she bites him trying to be kinky. Later or during some other night he starts changing like a werewolf only he turns into a drag queen. Nails grow out and suddenly have nail polish on them, ear rings appear & a flower grows out of his head to tuck behind his ear. Lasts about 10 minutes
In this movie lycanthropy is portrayed as a venereal disease which turns men into "dickanthropes" (???), creatures that want to indulge in strange behaviour like wearing women's clothes at certain times of the day. Yes, it really is as dumb as it sounds. There's even a terrible attempt at a play on the werewolf verse from The Wolf Man:
Even a wrist that is strong and firm
You can protect yourself from the Queerwolf curse by wearing a pendant containing an image of John Wayne around your neck. As for how you kill a Queerwolf, you wouldn't believe me if I told you.
