Maltese Bippy, The (1969)
This Rowan & Martin screwball comedy is about a man who unknowingly purchases a house which he finds to be infested with werewolves. And to add to that, a family of vampires live next door!
A pleasant and amusing old school comedy. It’s basically a murder mystery/caper film with mild family friendly horror elements. I never watched Rowan and Martins Laugh-in but I imagine being a fan of that show would increase your enjoyment of this movie by quite a lot.
As it stands this film is entertaining enough to hold your interest, with some excellent lines and some good physical humor. It never really gets laugh out loud funny, but it is consistently amusing and there are some quite memorable set pieces. I'd compare it to late Abbott and Costello.
Give it a watch if your a fan of Rowan and Martin and old style comedy, don't go out of your way to see it because it's supposed to be a werewolf movie, though.
